Myname is Blessings Mulenga Kombe am a Zambian and a Civil Engineering student atTianjin Chengjian University, the school is located in the beautiful city ofTianjin , Xiqing District. This is my over view of my current university.
Ihave thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Tianjin Chengjian University. I haveseen myself develop and grow as a person and a student and I definitely do notregret my decision to study as a University student. I have struggled withworkload, but I have always been offered assistance and guidance whenever Ihave needed it. I also spend a lot of my time at the at the library and feel asthough I have gotten my life on track and gained so much confidence sincemoving away from home and becoming my own person at University as well asmeeting so many new people. Truly I can say Tianjin Chengjian University as notonly helped to build my morals but has paved a way to my future dream career.
COURSEAND LECTURERS
Foreach module I have had different tutors, and each time, every single one ofthem have been both supportive and helpful as well as being respectful whilstalso maintaining the important level of professionalism. Through studying themajor Civil Engineering at Tianjin Chengjian University, I have had many tutorsso far and each of them has helped me inside and outside of lectures. Manytutors will also work ways that include and help with different student'slearning styles. I am fortunate that I am studying a combined honors withtheory classes are very much class-room based, whereas Laboratory classes isheavily practical. This gives me a variety. However, many other classes andcourses are very based within a classroom and, although, I have an easybalance, I can imagine how tiring this may be. But this has been amazing havingteachers that have been supportive and understanding.
STUDENTS'UNION
TheUniversity has formed a international student union which has been veryadvantageous to myself and many other students. Not only represent students butalso create events, they are also very approachable and positive. The studentunion also helped a lot of first year students by giving them enough help andorientation necessary to their settling down in the university.
UNIVERSITYFACILITIES
TheUniversity's facilities are kept ever clean and tidy and I have used plenty ofthe facilities here at Tianjin Chengjian University; the main two being theball Building which is the school of international education and the Library.Both of these have fantastic opening times - being open from 6am-10pm, the ballbuilding (SIE) is always available allowing students to have plenty of time towork on themselves, work on their confidence, socialise, or help relievestresses and anxieties through various activities. The library, This libraryalso has different floors, quiet rooms and study rooms. There are spaces tosocialise, study quietly and work in large groups. The Tianjin Chengjianuniversity library is the best to my opinion.
