It is well known that"china" meaning ceramic is the same word in English as that in Chinarefers to the country name. China is the home of porcelain. The achievementsmade in ceramic technology and art are of special significance to the progressand development of human society. The dissemination of China's porcelain andporcelain-making technology to the whole world is also a historical witness ofthe friendly exchanges between the Chinese people and the people of othercountries.
For this reason, on November 23 and30, the School of International Education organized more than 100 freshmen togo to Tianjin Jingde Zhen Ceramic Center, the cultural practice base of internationalstudents in our school, to carry out pottery craftsmanship activities.
In the course of the activity,students first learned about the history and production technology ofJingdezhen ceramics through micro-video. Then, with the help and guidance ofthe manual teachers, they tried to knead clay figurines and make cups toexperience the production process of traditional handicraft.
By organizing this ceramic cultureexperience, our school aims to enrich the free time life of international studentsand also promote Chinese traditional culture, so that they can experience theprofound and infinite charm of Chinese traditional culture on the basis ofunderstanding Chinese traditional handicraft.
