I.Introduction
Tianjin Chengjian University（TCU）, founded in 1978, is a regular institute of higher education under the administration of Tianjin Municipal Government. TCU covers 610,100m2, with building area of 455,000m2.
TCU consists of 14 schools, one teaching unit, two teaching centers and school of continuing education, and has the qualification to enroll overseas students and currently has 17,458 full-time students, 16,095 undergraduates, 1,093 postgraduates, 226 overseas students and 44 preparatory students.
TCU offers 54 undergraduate programs, among which there is 3 national first-level programs, 1 national and 2 Tianjin pilot programs, 7 Tianjin first-level programs, 5 construction programs with strategic and emerging industries, 8 Tianjin programs of advantage and specialty, 12 Tianjin applied programs, and 6 programs that have obtained the certification of Department of Housing and Construction.
Over 40 years, TCU constantly adheres to the socialist orientation, fully carries out the educational policy of Chinese Communist Party, strengthens moral education to cultivate talents, and sticks to the principle of “developing urban science and cultivating construction talents”. By drawing on the advantages of related industries, highlighting its features, sticking to quality-oriented development and pursuing excellence, TCU fulfills the motto of “Morality and Capacity, Learning and Creating”. By relying on Tianjin to develop nationally and globally, TCU has cultivated more than 56,000 talented graduates to serve the urbanization and modernization.
School of International Education was established, drawing on the teaching and research resources of TCU and the international cooperation with partner universities. Based on the belief of multicultural education, featured with science and engineering majors as its characteristics, school of International education has initiated international cooperation programs and the programs for international students, attracting students mainly from countries along the Belt and Road and opening to the whole world. Up to now, School of International Education has formed an educational system of various types and levels, containing programs for undergraduate degrees and master degrees, and the courses for Chinese language learning.

1. Chinese Language Program
The Chinese Language Program is designed for the international students who need to improve their Chinese language proficiency in a short period of time. The program focuses on improving students’ comprehensive Chinese knowledge and skills, including listening,speaking,reading,and writing.With the completion of this program, students should have a good command of using Chinese language to conduct deeper communication and discussion ,as well as achieving a greater proficiency of Chinese language than that of others to successfully engage in major studies.
