Course 1:Chinese
This course provides comprehensive language skill training. Students will master the basic knowledge of Chinese pronunciation and intonation, common vocabulary, simple grammar and common Chinese characters. Through learning Chinese, students will be equipped with fundamental communication skill to solve various kinds of problems that may been countered in their daily living and learning.
Course 2: Chinese Survey
The aim of this course is to enable studentsto learn some background knowledge about Chinese society and culture. Studentscan have a systematical and objective understanding of Chinese geography,social customs, education, family and other aspects. Through learning, studentswill also consolidate and improve their Chinese level.
Course 3: Chinese Culture
The aim of this course is to incorporaterelated knowledge into practice to promote students' interest in Chineseculture, and help students appreciate the richness of Chinese culture in theprocess of studying the Chinese language. Through learning, students will have anunderstanding of the major similarities and differences between Chinese cultureand their own cultures. Students will understand the key concepts ofintercultural communication, and have a more positive towards differentcultures.
