1. Exchange Program Taught in Chinese

1.1Architecture

Architecture is the subject of researching architecture and surroundings. This major aims to cultivate interdisciplinary applied talents with professional knowledge and practical ability and are engaged in architectural design, development and management. Architecture is one of the most advantageous majors in the school and it has passed the architecture major valuate of the national higher education institution.

1.2 Civil Engineering

Civil Engineering refers to all the infrastructure in planning, construction and maintenance which is related to water, soil and culture. As a dominant major of the school, civil engineering aims to cultivate compound applied talents with solid basic theories and professional knowledge. The first-level civil engineering discipline is the key discipline in Tianjin.

1.3 Visual Communication Design

Visual Communication Design, a program combining visual arts, design, communication and technology, seeks to develop students' creative thinking abilities as well as their design and communication skills. This program covers a variety of fields, including graphic design, illustration, photography, animation and multimedia design. Students will learn the fundamentals of visual art, design theory, color science, typography, brand communication and others related skills and concepts.

2. Exchange Program Taught in English

2.1Civil Engineering

As the first program open for international students in Tianjin Chengjian University, the undergraduate program of Civil Engineering has accepted international students since 1986. So far, it has established itself as a leading program in providing a large number of senior engineers for urban construction. In 2008, the program was titled as one of the "Tianjin branding program" as well as the "National leading program" by Education Ministry of China. Currently, this program receives government funding for being listed in the "Excellent Engineer Education Planning".

2.2Visual Communication Design

3. Duration

Duration: one semester, usually 4 months

4. Notes

Participants can choose one program based their academic background, and join the program to finish one semester study. In one semester, participant should choose no less than 6modulesof the program.
