In order to fully implement the requirements of safety and stability during winter vacation, do a good job in the normal management of Covid-19 prevention and control, School of International Education (SIE) held a winter vacation safety education conference for international students in two batches in the morning and afternoon of December 21. Counselors of international students and on-campus international students attended the meeting on site, while the international students abroad attended the meeting by video.
During the meeting, the counselors lectured the safety tips of holidays, notification of the current Covid-19 situation, the prevention of control measures, fire safety, the safety of off-campus accommodation and the safety management of dormitory. They emphasized that under the normalization of Covid-19 prevention and control, the awareness of prevention and control should not be slackened and the preventive and control measures should still be strictly adhered to. International students shall strictly abide by Chinese laws and regulations and university discipline, especially Regulations on Management during the Corona Virus Prevention and Control Period for International Students of Tianjin Chengjian University, and strictly prohibit illegal and undisciplined behaviors such as drug taking or trafficking, illegal working, illegal residence and drunkenness, etc. International students have been reminded again to protect their personal property and prevent telecommunication fraud during winter vacation, and international students living off-campus shall apply for off-campus living check card according to the law.
After the meeting, counselors issued “Safety Notice for international Students of TCU during 2022 winter vacation” on-site.
Since the outbreak of COVID-19, SIE has been strictly carrying out all the prevention and control measures according to the Covid-19 prevention and control requirements of TCU and relevant departments, to ensure the safety and stability of international students in China. During this winter vacation, SIE will continue to strictly manage the entrance and exit of international students in accordance with the requirements of the normalization prevention and control of Covid-19, do a good job in daily temperature monitoring and evening roll call. SIE's leadership team and international student counselors will continue to do a good job on duty, do regular home visits to the students living off-campus, with an aim to ensure that international students could spend a safe and beautiful holiday.
