From April 23rd to 25th， 2023，Representatives of School of International Education attended the 12th Educational Global Partners Conference in Nanjing. As one of the most influential conference on International Education Exchange，this conference attracted a number of people from more than 150 Chinese universities and over 150 international collaborative agencies and representatives stationed in China. In addition to the in-person event, there were also sub-venues overseas via live streams，which cover over 100 countries including Morocco，Mongolia，Thailand，Nepal，Kazakhstan and Singapore .This is the third time that our school has been invited to the conference.
During the meeting，representatives of School of International Education，as well as other participants took a deep dive into topics concerning how to strengthen exchanges and cooperation on culture and education with countries along the Belt and Road，how to promote the development of overseas study plan in our country and how to enhance teaching and management efficiency of international education in China. Besides, by means of live-stream room and online negotiation room, we shared experience on enrollment policies, methods of management and teaching, and International Chinese education with over 40 high schools and educational institutions from Morocco, Tanzania, Bulgaria, Bangladesh.
In the next stage, School of International Education will develop under the guideline of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy, fully understanding the spirit of Xi Jinping’s speeches on international student conference and national education conference, emphasizing the significance of boosting China’s strength in product quality mentioned in the 20th National Congress. We will integrate the concept of telling China’s stories well into international education and attach more importance to English-taught majors, agreement project and international cooperation project so as to enlarge the size of international students and enhance the quality of enrollment and international education. Furthermore, we will continue to promote cultural and educational exchanges with countries along the Belt and Road in an effort to enhance the reputation, expand the influence of our school in the world and promote connotative development of international education in our school.
