On May 19th, the direct party branch secretary Ms. Bian Jinghua, the dean Mr. Zhang Hai, and other two members of our school paid a visit to Tianjin Modern Vocational Technology College, Tianjin Railway Technical and Vocational College, and Tianjin Sino-German University of Applied Sciences and conducted investigational study.
In Tianjin Modern Vocational Technology College, the director of international exchange office Ms ZhangYing introduced in detail the construction, agricultural characteristics, and development effect of the first Luban factory in Pakistan, and showed us around the practice base of ideological and political education in Hehai education park. She said that the dual-certification education model co-cultivated by the two countries in 0.5+2-0.5 project of the Pakistan Luban factory was worth learning. The model can not only support countries along the route of the “Belt and Road Initiative” in local application and promotion of mechanization, but also boost the internationalization of China’s new products and new technologies. She expressed the hope for the two schools to develop cooperation about combined training of overseas students in majors such as mechanical automation and intelligent manufacturing.
In Tianjin Railway Technical and Vocational College, the director of international exchange office Mr. Zu Xiaodong and the dean of the railway construction academy Mr. Wang Gang respectively introduced the Luban factories in Thailand, Djibouti, and Nigeria, as well as the preparation of the Tianjin competition group for the second term of vocational skills competition of the PRC. Mr. Zhang Hai said that the Tianjin Railway Technical and Vocational College had been excellent in the sustainable development of the Luban Factory construction as well as the cultivation of foreign and domestic talents of vocational skills, hoping that there would be chances for the two schools to extend further exchanges and cooperation in terms of school-enterprise cooperation, vocational education for overseas students, and top-up concerted combined training programmes.
In Tianjin Sino-German University of Applied Sciences, the dean of the college of applied foreign languages and international education Mr. Wan Liqun made an introduction mainly about the development history, theory on school management, characteristic specialty for overseas students, and Sino-German joint programs of the academy. Mr. Zhang Hai said that the two schools are similar in the orientation to cultivate innovative applied comprehensive overseas talents, and both of them have good cooperation basis. He expressed the hope that the two academies could give play to respective characteristics to deepen the cooperation, contact, and exchanges between them in terms of work related to international students coming to study in China.
Our school will take this visiting and investigation study as an opportunity to enhance the communications with other brother colleges and vocational colleges in Tianjin in study-in-China field, strengthen exchanges and cooperation in cultivation of international students, and seek more possibilities in work related to study-in-China education, thus promoting connotative development in our international education, boosting our high-quality development of study-in-China course with high-level guidance of the Party, education and teaching, as well as scientific research.
