To further implement the requirements for safety and stability on campus, strengthen in-campus international students’ security awareness, and ensure their safety in the holidays during Mid-Autumn Festival and the National Day, the School of International Education held the safety education conference for international students on September 27th.
On the conference, through measures such as legal analysis, case study, and epidemic prevention tips, the counsellor for international students carried out the thematic safety education about strict prohibition of illegal immigration, illegal residence, illegal employment, the precaution for telecommunication fraud, and the prevention of recurrent infectious diseases such as COVID-19, flu, tuberculosis, and Norovirus on campus in autumn and winter so as to strengthen international students’ security awareness. In addition, the counsellor also gave warning education on safety for international students in terms of sanitation, personal protection requirements, fire safety, food safety, transportation safety, dormitory safety and so on, and emphasized that international students should closely follow Chinese laws and regulations as well as school rules and disciplines during the stay in China. Illegal and disciplinary behaviors such as drug abuse and drug trafficking, illegal work, illegal residence, provoking incidents after getting drunk are strictly prohibited. After the conference, international students signed the “safety commitment of international students on holiday” on the conference site.
During the holiday, our school will, according to the epidemic prevention and control and management requirements of the city’s two committees on education as well as the school, continue to strictly implement relevant measures, make contingency plans and appropriate emergency disposal in response to the emergency. The leading group and faculties in our school will continue to be on duty so that international students can have a safe and wonderful holiday.
