To further implement the requirements for campus safety and stability, enhance the safety awareness and prevention capabilities of international students, and ensure their safety during the Qingming Festival holiday, the School of International Education held a safety education conference for international students on April 3.

At the conference, Zhang Wanlu, counselor for international students, delivered a special safety education lecture covering legal interpretation, case analysis and epidemic prevention tips. The lecture focused on prohibiting "three illegal" activities, preventing telecom fraud, and protecting against common spring campus infectious diseases such as influenza and tuberculosis. She strengthened students' safety awareness and provided safety warning education on hygiene and personal protection, fire safety, food safety, traffic safety and dormitory safety.
She emphasized that international students must strictly abide by Chinese laws, regulations and school rules during their stay in China. Illegal acts including drug trafficking and abuse, illegal employment, illegal residence and disorderly conduct under the influence of alcohol are strictly prohibited. After the meeting, all international students present signed the Commitment Letter on Holiday Safety for International Students on site.
In the future, the School will further enhance its political stance, tighten and consolidate responsibilities, improve the emergency response to emergencies, and make every effort to ensure the safety and security of international students on campus, so as to guarantee them a safe and smooth campus life.
