Dear Faculty and Students,
The environmental renovation project of the School of International Education building is currently underway. Recently, the removal and welding of exterior pillars, beams, and glass walls have been ongoing, resulting in significant noise, dust pollution, and potential safety risk. To ensure the safety of all personnel and property during construction, please strictly adhere to the following suggestions:
I. Safety Precautions
1. General Safety Guidance: During construction, faculty and students are advised to avoid entering the building unless necessary. If entry is required, ensure proper safety precautions are taken.
2. Access Management: The main entrance (west-side entrance) of the School of International Education will remain open, while all other entrances will be closed. Access routes and entrances may be adjusted based on construction progress. Please follow the posted circulation route maps, safety signs, and updated notices, and Stay clear of barricaded construction zones
3. Movement Guidelines: Detour around construction zones whenever possible. If passing through is unavoidable, stay clear of workers, materials, and equipment storage areas. For restroom access in Zone B, please detour via the public study area and avoid lingering in exterior corridors to prevent accidents. Wear anti-slip footwear; do not enter the building in sandals to avoid slips or injuries.
II. Property Protection Guidelines
Lock offices and classrooms when unoccupied. Carry valuables with you at all times. Do not leave personal belongings in classrooms or study areas during construction. Avoid reserving seats with books or other personal items.
III. Special Notes
Construction may cause intermittent noise. Please take protective measures when entering the building. Student activities and important meetings are advised to reschedule or relocate.
